We had an outstanding stay
We stayed for a week at this hotel. The location is centralized and right next to the Plaza del Sol, a large open air shopping center. First and foremost, the service was outstanding. At all times we felt the staff cared and did what they could to help us enjoy our stay. The breakfast at the Cafe Urbano was outstanding with a wide array of freshly prepared and delicious food. The service at the Cafe Urbano deserves special mention. We tried the French restaurant and enjoyed it; tasty French bistro style food and good wine. The club level service was very good, with two hours of a very fine wine. We were pleased with the upgrade that we received due to IHG diamond status; the room had a living room and a ridiculous bathroom. Not many cons; the pool is underwhelming and there did not seem to be many guests. All and all, we felt the famous IHG hospitality and recommend.

Good hotel but ‘fake’ upgrades’.
Good hotel, good service. Careful if you are a frequent traveler with IHG,. I was given a triple upgrade where I had to wait 4 hours to get it since it was not ready but I ended up in a king room on the Club floor but no benefit. Like giving a first class upgrade in tourist class.
Ask for what you deserve otherwise it is just smoke.
The Westin is better in term of upgrade and it is in the same area.

Excellent service and amazing food !
We went to Cafe Urbano for breakfast and told our waiter, Moises, that we were hoping to have a traditional Mexican breakfast. He and the chef turned what would have been a good breakfast into a great and memorable experience !

Most excellent stay!
Have stayed in other InterContinental properties and must say I am very pleased! Front desk team very efficient and friendly, room was excellent with a great view of the city. Enjoyed the buffet...really enjoyed the stay here!

My stay at InterContinental Presidente Guadalajara was nothing short of perfect, and I can highly recommend it to anyone visiting Guadalajara, Mexico.
The location is excellent, placing us exactly where we wanted to be—close to all the attractions/business centers/restaurants, we planned to visit.
The amenities and facilities are fantastic. The pool, gym, restaurants were spotless and well-maintained. Everything felt modern, clean, and contributed to a luxurious experience.
However, what truly sets this hotel apart is the amazing staff. From the moment we checked in to the minute we left, the service was truly exceptional. The team here consistently went out of their way to make sure guests have an excellent experience. It's clear they prioritize hospitality, and their warmth and attention to detail made us feel incredibly valued.
Honestly, everything about this hotel was perfect. I highly recommend!
